Issue 4. Spilling tea in the paid subscribers section, promoting my first self-run photo walk and letting you know about all the cool shit I've been doing and you should be.
I have decided that I will be adding a section of “gossip” in the paid tier section of these newsletters. Will I name names? Will I destroy my career? Will I throw people and businesses under the bus? Possibly. But if you want to hear some STORIES then make sure you subscribe.
I have about a 75% readership with 8 readers, so this newsletter is on a super-nano scale and of 0 importance to anyone. Might as well bitch and gossip in the paid section ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have been smoking great Indonesian darts lately (the illegal Kent one’s), spending too much time in bed when I can, and drinking chia seed slime.
Best photography gig for the month:
A fun little one with all the gang at Twang Brewing. Matt organized this cute Saturday Winter Market on June 14th and there was food vendors, DJ’s, wine makers, merch and SO many families. Too many babies if you ask me, but luckily they were offset by how many cute dogs there were too. Plus everyone was in a great mood. Peep some piccies:

What I’m listening to:
I have Purity Ring’s new single “Many Lives” on REPEAT.
What I’m playing:
I finished Loop Hero, and because the devs are Russian, I don’t think we will be getting any DLC for that. I’m really just playing Pokemon Go, Pokemon TCG on my mobile at the moment and maybe waiting for enough $ to get a Switch2? Any goog game recommendations?
What I’m watching:
I LOVE putting on one of photographer Paulie B’s “Walkie Talkie” episodes while I’m working and listening to a selection of cool working street photographers discuss their practice and work. It’s honestly such a great, relaxing, insightful and chill series. So good.
What I’m drinking:
I’m actually trying to cut down on drinking at the moment (ugh) and to coincide with that, I’m shooting the City of Yarra’s “Somewhere Sober - LGBTQIA+ social gathering” event coming up in (dry) July too, which is awesome. Love they are doing more dry events for queer community. I won’t commit to a dry July, but I definitely am trying to cut down a lot.
What I’m reading:
”Creativity Money Love” by Shelagh Wright, John Holden, John Kieffer and John Newbigin.
Whats on:
LOTS on in the coming months. I’m super excited to be shooting Museum After Dark at the Yarra Ranges Museum for RISING this Friday 20th. Some video work for STATION Gallery and Tomislav Nikolic. Really excited to spend the 28th out in Gippsland for Gippsland Pride Gala taking photos all night and partying away.
Shooting the Australian Institute of Music Music Theatre Cohort’s 2025 portraits for their upcoming musical at the end of the month. Then some more great dinner events for RACV City Club, including another “Art of Lunch” event. And then into July with a REALLY exciting event for ACCA and then Angles Fest. It’s all happening!
What’s coming up?
I’m running a fun little photography walk on Saturday July 18th along Victoria Street in Richmond. It’s such a colourful, gritty, brilliant little area and there is so much to capture and see. We will end up at my favourite watering hole; The Leadbeater Hotel for a wrap-up networking drink and chat and the whole thing is donate as you feel.
